Cyclone Preparation FAQs
When should I prune before cyclone season?+
During the dry season or build-up — well before 1 November. Bookings fill fast once storms start.
Which trees are most dangerous in a cyclone?+
Dead or termite-hollowed trees, top-heavy trees, trees with split trunks or included bark, and large palms close to houses.
Should I cut my tree down or just prune it?+
Most healthy trees just need pruning to reduce wind load. Trees that are dead, hollow or structurally unsound are often better removed. We'll give you an honest call.
Do you check for termites?+
We look for signs like mud leads, hollow sounds and soft wood. If a tree is badly hollowed, we'll recommend removal.
